The downstairs bedroom has a double bed and good storage cupboards. The second bedroom has a double bed, large storage cupboards and a pleasant view from the window. There is space for an additional single bed in this room. The third bedroom has a combe ceiling and is probably most suitable for children.

The cottage is suitable for 4 to 6 people. A large downstairs room provides a comfortable living room, dining area and a fully equipped kitchen. Also downstairs, there is a double bedroom and bathroom. There is another double bedroom and a small bedroom (best suited for children) with two single beds upstairs. The cottage has central heating and there is an open fire in the cosy living room. The living room has a TV with freesat and DVD player. There is ample parking for two or more cars and there is covered storage for bicycles. Souter's Cottage offers excellent access to the Cairngorms and Deeside countryside for walkers, climbers, cyclists and those who just want to relax and take in the sites or admire the views. There are lots of possibilities for visitors who wish to see historic castles such as Balmoral, Braemar, Knock and Craigievar, visit villages like Braemar and Ballater, play golf or go pony trekking. Souter's cottage is about 50 miles from Aberdeen and 8 miles from Ballater and Braemar. There is a regular bus service to the villages.
